We believe sports card valuations should be simple and transparent. To achieve this we only use real transactions from eBay sales. We use this information to display two types of price information for the priced cards on mycardfolio.com.

First we calculate the average selling price of eBay transactions. We use a simple average like you learned in 6th grade. No values are removed, it's just the sum of eBay sale prices divided by the number of transactions. Nothing tricky. We display the average price on the set page where each card in the set is listed and at the top of the card detail page.

Second we believe it's important to show all the information that's available. On each priced card's detail page you will find a listing of each eBay sale for that card, separated by grade, and a chart of the sales over time. With this information you can evaluate trends and interpret the data any way you please.
